Your SS14 Trend Preview of the NEXT NEW-IN collection

Posted March 28, 2014 by Bethanie Lunn

I attended an exclusive preview of Next‘s New In pieces for SS14 this week and discovered plenty of gorgeous fashion finds.  For me, Next has captured some of the key trends of the season with a collection of bold tribal prints, confident florals, citrus brights, molten metallics and pretty pastels.

The Trend Roundup

Held at The Soho Hotel, bloggers were treated to pampering beauty treatments and scrumptious food in their premium Terrace Suite, with a stunning view of the London skyline and a bathroom the size of Russia.  Well alright not quite, but it was huge!

After tucking into the mini breakfast delights of eggs royale, smoked salmon, caramelised banana and walnut toast and goats cheese and spinach croissants (yum), I sat down at the Blow Dry Station with Blow Ltd.  With a mission to make beauty fast, accessible and fun, Blow offer a #fastbeauty menu of services in blow drys, up-dos, makeup application and nails.

Just check out the fabulous waterfall braid and loose waves they did for me, below and watch the quick video of the curling process plus nail art in action:

I then made my way over to I Made it Myself for a spot of nail art.  Available in designs that reflected Next’s New In trends, I opted for floral accent nails which I LOVE:

The Next New In collection drops in-store early May so look out for it.  I have my eye on the pastels – a range brimming with sheer tees and sleeveless shirts teamed with powdery statement trousers, maxi skirts and floor length, floaty and fabulous summer dresses. The more classic stand out pieces include tailored shift dresses, lace combos, mules and satchels.

Seriously though, it’s all highly desirable and will take you from office to party, beach bed to beach bar and from laid back lounging to hot date sauciness, making it truly the collection for Modern Girls.
