The Modern Mum’s Guide to: Making Holidays with Babies Easier (Part 4)

Posted June 14, 2014 by Bethanie Lunn

Are you going on holiday with the little ones soon?  Looking for sun-safe swimwear?
As you may have read, Frankie went on his first holiday abroad recently and, so he could enjoy the pool and beach in the sun safely, we chose the Mothercare By The Sea Sunsafe Wet Suit, £12-13.
We needed to know his skin, which had never before been exposed to direct sunlight for great lengths of time, would be protected at all times so we weren’t on tenterhooks, feeling anxious about him burning. We applied Sunscreen Factor 50 all over before we went outside but this little number kept his neck, arms, legs and body covered up.  He was protected in the sun further still thanks to the suit having a sun protection rating of factor 40.
With Huggies Little Swimmers Swim Nappies underneath, we were able rest assured that Frankie was safe and comfortable.  It was easy to pull on too (if only all of his clothes were), with a back zip fastening and it dried quickly. He loved wearing it and splashing about in his paddling pool -which fast became our saviour too!
