W7 Liquid Kiss Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick, £4.95
This is genius – it goes on like a gloss and dries as a lipstick except it stays colour rich for hours. Great if you only have the time (or inclination) to apply it once and go, hoping to look good for the rest of the day without any beauty worries. As a mum, I also find long lasting, non-transferable lipstick a God-send since, between cute kisses and getting punched in the face by my toddler, both in equal measures, ha ha – lipstick needs to stay put. The entire W7 range is very purse friendly too. You can pick up makeup palettes for less than a fiver! Available from Peacocks or Asda.
TOMY Foam Cone Factory Bath Toy, £19.99
We both love this! It’s incredibly easy to set up and use and grips to your bathroom tiles over your bath or the side of the bath itself. You just need 4 scoops of water and 1 scoop of child-friendly bath foam to get started, pull the leaver and hey presto – pretend ice creams. It helps coordination and offers plenty of fun from ages 18 months and over. The only negative I found was that it didn’t stick very well to my bathroom ceramic tiles so I’ve put it on the side of the bath instead. If you have a particularly overzealous boy like I do, you might need to hold it in place or teach them to be gentle when they pull the lever! Overall though, this toy provides plenty of entertainment, especially when you use it like a foam machine gun – ha ha.
From TOMY, and also available on amazon, Asda and Argos.
Oskia Renaissance Hand & Body Cream, £34
This fantastic multi-purpose cream can be used on hands, body and face so is ideal for when you’re short on time. Ok so you might consider the price tag expesnive but it until you hear what you get out of one tube.
Packed with bio-available vitamins, fermented minerals, AHA’s and the very best bio-actives, it is anti-ageing, smells of nurturing Rose and Chamomile and leaves skin softer, smoother and nourished. My hands are often in water- from washing clothes and removing stains to washing up, wiping down, cleaning spills and bath time, my hands feel dry on a daily basis. I find Oskia Renaissance Hand & Body Cream performs brilliantly on dry skin so as a hand cream in particular, it is ideal. It’s also superb at rejuvenating skin so I took my on holiday as an after sun treatment and use it regularly after shaving my legs. Love it!
