Aveeno Bath & Shower Oil

I love AVEENO, the Moisturising Lotion was the first skincare product I used on my son when he was newborn, as recommended by my healthcare visitor.  Frankie had dry skin as a baby and also suffered quite badly from wind so I used to massage it all over him, concentrating on his tummy and both he and his skin were happy.   This light oil (right), is my latest favourite in the collection.  It can be used in the bath or shower and doesn’t leave you feeling like you’ve had a swim in a chip pan.  Instead, you and your little one will be left feeling soothed with supple skin.  I’m really into oils right now, they’re so quick to use – better at night though so you can just snuggle into your robe or bed…when you eventually get there!

CLIF BAR ENERGY BAR

When I first discovered these I have to admit, I was like, ‘so these bars are organic, natural, tasty and really do improve your energy?  Whatever’.  But they really do!  They come in an assortment of flavours but my favourites are Crunchy Peanut Butter and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut.  So how do Clif Bars work?

The creator was enduring a day-long 175-mile bike ride with his dog, as you do, munching on an energy bar but didn’t feel great effects nor did he enjoy it so two years development in his mums kitchen, resulted in his own range.  They are made with organic rolled oats giving a high source of protein and fibre, vitamins B6 and B12 to contribute to the normal release of energy in the body.  This is all true as I noticed a steady release of energy as opposed to by usual caffeine hit that picks me up then crashes me down.

I don’t exercise as often as I’d like and feel being a business owner and mum is physical enough (!) – so I use mine for everyday busy-ness for a healthy little pick-me-up.

Crabtree & Evelyn Parisian Millefleurs Flower Water

This is my new fragrance for spring, I adore it and the bottle it comes in.  Vibrant, pretty and fresh but with opulence,  an array of contrasting floral notes combine for a scent that is seemingly composed from a thousand flowers.

The notes are narcissus, rose, tuberose and violet.  If I could bathe in it, I would.  The bottle design with its vintage pump atomiser transports me to a 1950s powder room and it looks simply beautiful on my dresser.  If you can’t treat yourself, add it to your birthday requests / list of demands, fast. DHC Face Wash Powder

Although this new product initially sounded amazing, I thought it might be too much of a faff to bother as you have to mix it with water but it’s actually so quick and easy to use, which is why it made it on my list of faves for the month. The results are instant too.  Promising to cleanse, exfoliate, soothe and moisturise in one hit – you can see why this was a must-try.  The enzymes are activated with water forming a soapy, light cleansing lather in seconds when you mix it together in your hands.

How it works

Protease enzyme helps dissolve amino acid bonds and helps dissolve surface dead skin cells (hence the instant glow), whilst liquor soothes skin and honey often and moisturises.  Genius.  It’s affordable at £9.50 too.

PR samples haven in provided but there was no obligation to feature them and all opinions are my own.
